Simplex 4098-9714 TrueAlarm Photoelectric Smoke Detector The Simplex 4098-9714 is an addressable photoelectric smoke sensor designed for use with Simplex IDNet and MAPNET II two-wire communications. Using TrueAlarm analog sensing technology, the detector digitally transmits real-time smoke data to the control unit for precise analysis and reduced nuisance alarms. This model features a 360° smoke entry design for improved detection response from any direction and built-in insect screening to help maintain sensing chamber integrity. The control panel automatically adjusts sensitivity to compensate for dust and environmental changes, improving long-term reliability. Selectable sensitivity levels include 0.2%, 0.5%, and 1% per foot for special applications, with standard operation ranging from 1.25% to 3.1% per foot depending on panel programming. The 4098-9714 is compatible with Simplex 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, 4100U, and 4008 Series control units with reduced feature set.
